Diesel Prices Continue Steady Climb
It’s a pattern consumers have seen for the past couple of weeks, diesel prices continue to slowly march higher. Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy.com said diesel prices in the Northwest has increased about 16 cents in recent weeks, which is similar to national trends.
"Nationally, we’re seeing diesel prices move up as well, so over all higher oil prices have impacted both diesel and gasoline prices. And on the other hand, higher demand from agriculture has resulted in higher prices diesel prices across Washington state.”
The National Average has increased three cents in the past week to $2.37 a gallon, Washington’s average increase five cents to $2.71, while Oregon’s average ticked higher by four cents. DeHaan told the Washington Ag Network diesel prices could decrease slightly in late June and early July, but any decrease would be around five to 15 cents per gallon, and most likely would not be long lived.
Here are some of the lowest local diesel prices we could find across the Inland Northwest:
- $2.57 a gallon in Pasco
- $2.45 a gallon in Yakima
- $2.34 a gallon in Wenatchee
- $2.65 a gallon in Quincy
- $2.67 a gallon in Walla Walla
- $2.55 a gallon in Moses Lake
