The Clore Center is preparing for the 12th Annual Legends of Washington Wine Hall of Fame Induction and Gala on August 10th.  According to Clore, the Legends Gala brings together passionate consumers, wine enthusiasts, and industry from across the region for a lively and social celebration of Washington wine.  Dick and Wendy Shaw have been selected as the 2018 Legends of Washington Wine Hall of Fame inductees for their significant contributions to the industry's growth and success.  They will be presented with a plaque and will be formally inducted into the Hall of Fame by the Clore Center's board of directors.

 

The evening's reception will feature several Pacific Northwest chefs and cuisine, over 20 wines sourced from grapes from the Shaw's vineyards, and silent auction, a live auction and will follow, featuring unique vineyard tours, exclusive culinary experiences, and several well-regarded wines, including:

 

  • Around the World of Malbec: A Tasting with Andy Perdue & Juan Munoz-Oca,
  • A Sense of Sagemoor: Vineyard tour & photoshoot experience with Kent Waliser & Richard Duval,
  • 2-Night Stay at Dick & Wendy Shaw's "Little Shaw Island",
  • 2015 Leonetti Cellar Cabernet Sauvignon Magnum, and
  • A Weekend in Walla Walla Wine Country, plus much more!

 

At the end of evening guests will have an opportunity to show their support for the Clore Center with a paddle raise.

 

As the Clore Center's annual fundraising event, all proceeds directly benefit their ongoing programs and events designed to promote Washington wine and agriculture.
