Oregon agriculture is in a unique position, with two members on the House Ag Committee working on the 2023 Farm Bill.  Republican freshman Lori Chavez-DeRemer said she wants public input.

“This is going to be a large farm bill. I’m meeting with farmers throughout Oregon, and again, throughout the country, because this is going to affect everybody.”

Chavez-DeRemer recently issued a joint statement with Democrat Andrea Salinas, who represents Oregon’s Sixth District, asking for Oregonians to offer their thoughts on the upcoming Farm Bill.  The two said they want to work with producers “to craft a beneficial and effective farm bill that will set Oregonians up for success over the next five years.”
