The Brown Marmorated Stink Bug has been discovered in 14 Washington counties, mostly in Western Washington, though some have been found in Walla Walla, the Yakima area, and along the Columbia River.

WSU is reaching out to producers who are looking for help in dealing with the pest with an online resource page.  It breaks down the bug’s biology along with tips on monitoring and managing it.

Brown Marmorated Stink Bug can be quite damaging to crops throughout the Northwest and on the East Coast is known for lowering yields and interrupting IPM programs.
