The college football season wraps up this week for Washington State University and the University of Washington.  The Cougars will take on Michigan State in the Holiday Bowl and the Huskies play Penn State in the Fiesta Bowl.  But before you buy into bowl mania, the Better Business Bureau is warning you to do your home work.  The BBB’s Kirstin Davis told the Washington Ag Network with the success of the past season, it’s easy to get carried up in the moment.

“Especially when it comes to sporting events, people are usually very emotionally invested, so it can tend to cloud their judgement.”

But, she says before you purchase a t-shirt, poster, or for those of you lucky enough to travel, a ticket to this week’s bowl game, read the fine print.  She said make sure the goods are sold through a reputable webstie, or the school’s athletic page.  And if you are traveling, make sure your accommodations are what you expect.

“Go ahead and google that address and see what actually exists in that location sometime it’s a dirt field, or make sure that location actually exists, read reviews about that location and make sure the neighborhood is safe.”

Davis added if it seems too good to be true, it most likely is.
