Ag Innovation Challenge Deadline Extended
The American Farm Bureau, in partnership with Farm Credit, has extended the deadline to register for the 2026 Ag Innovation Challenge to June 15. Chase Heineman, director of industry relations for AFBF, said entrepreneurs who are developing unique and innovative solutions to the challenges farmers and ranchers are facing every day are encouraged to apply. He says the competition is open to businesses of all types.
“We’ve had innovators from all aspects of the agriculture sector participate in the past, everything from livestock, specialty crop, row crop, aquaculture. We’re looking for companies that have identified a need in agriculture and have worked to develop innovative solutions that fill that need.”
Entrepreneurs Helping Farmers Could Win Money
Heineman said the Farm Bureau, in partnership with Farm Credit, is pleased to offer significant prizes to help startups get going.
“We’re happy that we can once again offer $100,000 to the winner of the Ag Innovation Challenge as well as $25,000 to the runner-up and $10,000 apiece to the other two teams competing in the final four," said Heineman. "We also offer a lot of other benefits to participating in the program, including different trainings, as well as the opportunity to interact with potential investors.”
