Ag Community Asked To Help Stamp Out Hunger

This weekend, Americans, both urban and rural will join together to fight hunger.  Saturday is the 26^th annual Stamp Out Hunger; where you are asked to leave non-perishable food items in a bag or box at your mailbox.  Kevin McKinstry is a letter carrier in Pendleton.  He said the extra work for carriers is some of the most fulfilling work of the year.

"It's just a great outpouring, and it's awesome to just drive up to mailboxes or walk to mailboxes and see that bag of food sitting at the box and waiting for us to take."

The National Association of Letter Carriers partners with food banks on the drive.  To learn more visit the Stamp Out Huger Website.  Stamp Out Hunger has become the largest one-day food drive in the United States.
