The USDA has mailed the ag census questionnaires to producers across the country to fill out and return to the department.

Secretary Sonny Perdue said the survey takes place every five years and is important for the work of the ag industry.

“I’m asking you to do your part for American agriculture. Help us show the nation the value and importance of agriculture. Respond to the census of agriculture now.”

The census is USDA’s largest data collection effort and aims to get a complete picture of American agriculture.

You can fill out the paper document that comes in the mail, or you can fill out the information online. Responses are due by February 5th.
