Hop production across the U.S. totaled 87.1 million pounds this year, down 16% year over year.  According to NASS, total acres harvested nationwide totaled 44,793 in 2024, which is down 18% from last year.  Harvested acreage decreased in each of the Northwest states; a trend the industry has reported since 2022.  

  • Washington reported 33,361 acres harvested
  • Oregon reported 5,635 acres harvested
  • Idaho recorded 5,797 acres harvested

Yield however, increased this year, to 1,944 pounds per acre nationwide, up 29 pounds from 2023 figures.  The 2024 value of production for the United States totaled $446 million, down 21% year-over-year.
