It’s a sign that the end of the year is drawing close; the latest edition of the Old Farmers Almanac.  Ben Kilbride with Yankee Publication says this will mark the 228th edition of the publication.  And he said while much has changed since 1792, one this has not, and that’s the Almanac’s connection with the agriculture community.  He noted the Farmer to Table segment, which made its debut in the 2018 edition, is back for another year.

“We went an interviewed a number of farmers from around the country, just asking what their story was.  We really wanted to get to know the people who grow our food.  So, we have one from Oregon, Alabama, Illinois, Minnesota, Texas, so, all over the place.  And you just get a good profile who these people are how they started their farms, and what has worked for them.”

Kilbride notes the Almanac contains its famous weather predictions, gardening tips, sports articles and much more.  He also noted it’s a great way to slowdown in the fast pasted 21st century.

“Especially with a lot of people feeling they are too connected to their devices, they’re screened in, this is a great way, the Old Farmers Almanac is a great way to get back to the old times, the traditional.”

By the Way, Kilbride pointed out that the prediction, courtesy of the Old Farmers Almanac, is for a White Christmas.
