Yakima Valley Community College will be hosting their annual Teach, Tour and Taste event for the public on Friday, March 3rd beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Ag Program Chair Trent Ball said people will get to learn from great kids.

“This is a really relaxed environment especially for someone who maybe has noticed what’s going on in the valley and is interested in learning a little bit more about wine in general.”

And with a new class of kids each time, Ball said the event has a different feel from year to year.

Ball also noted that the industry can really benefit from events like these because it’s helping the next generation of vintners and grape growers.

“For the students this is their opportunity to start explaining what they have been learning and anyone who has done some teaching before knows that you have to understand it at a whole different level when you have to explain it to somebody else.”

The event takes place on YVC’s Grandview campus from 5-8 p.m. and is free to the public. For more information visit YakimaValleyVintners.com.
