Yakima Valley Vintners Takes Gold in Seattle Wine Competition

Yakima Valley College’s teaching winery won four awards for the four wines they submitted to the 2017 Seattle Wine Competition.

Yakima Valley Vintners, the formal name of the winery, received a gold medal for their 2014 Dean’s List Red Blend. They also took silver medals for their 2014 Full Circle Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2016 Textbook White Gewürztraminer.

The program helps teach YVC’s students how to make and market wines through the Vineyard and Winery Tech program at the Grandview campus.

Seattle Wine Awards are the most prestigious wine awards in Washington.
