Oregon Senator Ron Wyden says the Inflation Reduction Act, which is now in the U.S. House will help almost every American.  Oregon's senior Senator points to the $20 billion included for climate-smart agriculture.
"It empowers farmers to make decisions, with respect to drought mitigation, how to promote carbon sequestration - our farmers are so well positioned to sequester carbon, and that’s part of climate-smart agriculture."
The Democrat said he’s heard from Oregon companies waiting for this bill to pass, to invest in clean energy.  He added the act also lowers healthcare costs for seniors and beefs up the fight against "wealthy tax cheats".
