Washington State University will be hosting free farm talks every Thursday in March geared towards helping small farmers.

Kate Halstead with WSU Extension said it’s important to keep up to date on trends since, “The farming that we fondly remember our grandparents performing is not, in my cases, the farming that you are faced with today.”

The talks will be at the Gray Wolf Building in Everett and WSU Spokane County Extension office.

There are four different topics from water and risk management to marketing and finances. Halstead says to look at the classes as an investment.

“Where is my farm lacking the most in terms of either knowledge or expertise or management? Then see if one of these four courses has some topics that could help you in that area.”
