June 15th was the first weekday night market for the Wenatchee Farmers Market of the year.

Sue Gasbar with the Market Board said in previous years it was on Wednesdays.

“We changed it from a Wednesday market to a Thursday market to coincide with Run Wenatchee so we’ll have some like-minded, healthy people there to support that market and we’ll support Run Wenatchee and that’s going to be a great addition, I think, for all of us.”

The Thursday market runs from 3-7 p.m. each week.

Gasbar said it also offers a different option to buy and sell from local farmers.

“There are people who work on Saturday and they can’t get to the Market and so they’ll come down on that Thursday.”

The Wenatchee Farmers Market will also offer kids clubs, and the last Saturday of each month will feature Ruth Leslie making allergy-free recipes in the community kitchen made from ingredients bought at the market.
