The 2018 Washington Cattlemen’s Association conference will get underway at the Three Rivers Convention Center in Kennewick Wednesday.  The two day event will focus on a variety of pressing issues before the cattle industry.  Sarah Ryan, Vice President of the WCA said the will focus on marketing a singular message from producers, issues on the mid-term ballot, and predators.

“The impact of wolves is not that they ate or damaged one animal, it’s much greater than that.  So, what do we do?  How do we deliver that message, and how engage in that conversation?  And not let that conversation be driven by a few select people who have the right mouth piece that aren’t living with them every day.”

Ryan said they will also discuss issues, or potential issues before the 2019 legislative session.
