The greater the chance of enhancing export opportunities Vilsack added.

Noting commodity organizations utilize this strategy many times with support from USDA offerings such as the Market Access Program, and Foreign Market Development program. Support that the Secretary believes must continue to be strengthened.

"How can we use those resources in  the most effect way to deepen our presence in those export markets."

Vilsack added, it's important to learn the tastes and preferences of consumers in a particular export market. And in turn, developing innovations and products to meet consumer needs.
