The USDA is planning a trade mission to Brazil which will include growers from all over the U.S.

Clay Hamilton, Ag Minister-Counselor at US Embassy in Brasilia said the U.S. has such great agriculture, he hopes that there will be connections made between producers and that market.

“Without a trade mission, there’s probably a lot of producers and exporters that may not even consider looking at the Brazilian market.”

And these trade missions allow the USDA to send a specific message to producers in the U.S. according to Hamilton.

“We see this as not only a good benefit for the exporters, but also as a way to advertise that Brazil is open for business and there’s a lot of potential there.”
