The State Department recently hosted a virtual round table, with public and private sector stakeholders, focused on the subject of food security issues arising from Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Among the participants, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack:

"We really want to know what you know, we also want you to know what the Biden administration is doing to addressing these problems with an all of government approach."

The secretary noted USDA actions raging from the full draw down of the Bill Emmerson Humanitarian Trust,  to provide grain tenacians dependent on Ukrainian exports, to continue communications with partner nations.

"We're encouraging our allies and printers to come together to keep trade open not to an act export bank and to share best practices persistently increasing function to ensure that we're able to get food to those who most need it."

Discussions focused on matters such as logistical challenges and moving Ukrainian grade for export, to continued contribution to the world food program to relieve areas of food and security.
