A pilot program to provide service for urban and suburban Ag areas, will have locations starting this fall in cities like Portland, Cleveland, Albuquerque and Philadelphia. FSA Administrator Richard Fordyce noted that interested citizens and stakeholders can learn more about urban-based FSA country committees, and the newly-established Office of Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production within the USDA Department.

"There's gonna be a webinar that's gonna be help on August 27th, and it's at 2 p.m. Eastern [11 a.m. Pacific] and the webinar link can be found on the USDA's website. After the webinar, if you're not available to view that live, it'll be recorded and it will be up on that site.

"The webinar will kind of walk through some background information on what country committees, and what the expectation would be fore county committee members and also kind of walk through the timelines," Fordyce continued.
