The USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service will be opening a new office in Rangoon, the capital city of Burma.

FAS Administrator Phil Karsting said, the office, located at the U.S. Embassy, is designed to strengthen the partnership between the countries.

Karsting noted, “Burma is opening to the rest of the world and offers significant market potential for U.S. agricultural exports.”

The office in Rangoon is the 94th such location around the world for the USDA building international markets and facilitating exports of U.S. agriculture.
