It wasn’t just local organizations that marked National Ag Day on Tuesday; the USDA and American Farm Bureau made sure to offer recognition to those that produce the nation’s food, feed, fiber, fuel and forestry products.

“Every day through challenges and triumphs, the men and women in agriculture show they adapt, they solve problems, and they push forward, ensuring that future generations can continue this proud tradition," said Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins.

"For me and our team here at the Department of Agriculture, I would argue that every day is national Ag Day," said Farm Production and Conservation deputy Under Secretary Brooke Appleton. . Very few of us work in professions or pursuits that touch the lives of every American. But our farmers and ranchers do.”

“Every time we pick up a fork or spoon to enjoy something, let's think about some hard-working farmer that he or she worked so hard to provide that for us and for our families," added American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall.

In addition, this is national Ag week, which runs through Saturday March 22nd.
