Time to Double-Check Your Finances

With the wintry weather locking many of us in our homes or farms, now is the perfect time according to one financial expert to assess our financial status.

Rutgers University Extension Financial Expert Barbara O’Neill warns, “Don’t overwhelm yourself of course, but just pick off some things you think you can accomplish in the next year.”

But before you set goals, O’Neill said it’s important to have an honest look at where your finances currently sit.

To that end, O’Neill said they have some help on the Rutgers website.

“We have the financial fitness quiz on our website here at Rutgers and there’s a couple of other quizzes as well. You take one of those assessments and then can see where your areas of weakness are, that might give you some guidance for what to do to beef up your finances.”
