Peter Siwick was a bio-technologist who lost his job in the economy collapse of a few years ago, and he decided he was going to become a farmer.

But, Siwick had only seven acres of land and had to understand how to succeed on so little ground.

“You can produce a lot on seven acres. It’s not so much about getting bigger as doing a better job with your intensive growing, but it’s a labor of love. I don’t think I’d change it for anything. I’m really satisfied. I really love it.”

Siwick sells through direct marketing at the local farmers market and has been able to have he and his wife farm as their full-time jobs.
