Producers looking to apply for USDA's Assistance for Specialty Crop Farmers, time is running short.  The application sign-up deadline is Friday, August 7th.  Farm Production and Conservation Under Secretary Richard Fordyce said payments will be provided based on reported 2025 planted acres.

They either use a login.gov account or they go to the local FSA county office," Fordyce said.  "What they'll find is really an application that's pre-populated. If they've done an acreage report, we will have an application for them. All it requires is a signature from the producer and then we can start to initiate the payment.
