There is a lot of support for NAFTA in the USDA but it may not be enough to stop President Trump from pulling out completely.  Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue said the President comes from the business philosophy that you can get a better deal by wiping out whatever the current deal is and starting over.

"He is convinced that he can get a better deal if we withdrew from NAFTA.”

The President said a few weeks ago if the current NAFTA negations don't work out to his satisfaction they will terminate the deal.

"We are, many of us are and not just me, but many in the administration are working feverishly on an ongoing basis to persuade him that we are going to be able to get a good deal with NAFTA, while we maintain it.”

The next round of NAFTA talks will take place in Washington D.C. later this month.
