Applications are currently being accepted for the latest round of USDA Regional Agricultural Promotion Program grants, better known as RAPP.  The deadline to apply is Friday, October 4th, and the USDA will accept applications through the Unified Export Strategy System; the Application portal.  Foreign Agricultural Service Deputy administrator Mark Slepak said there is one notable difference in this second round of RAPP grant applications.

"This time, we've made the European Union an eligible market. It was ineligible in that first round, but because it's about the same size as Japan, which was eligible in the first round, we decided to go ahead and make it a destination in the second round of RAPP.”

Slepak noted $300 million is available for this round for projects designed to grow farm exports beyond the current top farm and food export markets.
