USDA's RMA is seeking applications for organizations to conduct risk management education and training programs.  RMA Administrator Martin Barbari said there are two categories.

"One is the crop insurance education in targeted state program, that is related to states where there is a distinguished low-level of federal crop insurance participation, maybe a lack of available product."

The other category covers developing general crop insurance education nationwide.

"We're trying to educate those producers on the options available to them. We have the new whole-farm revenue protection plan, which producers that are simply not familiar with yet, and we're hoping to get some more education out on that plan."

The overall deadline for applications is July 30th.
