Landowners who are looking for help in funding conservation projects on their property can look to the Regional Conservation Partnership Program which is now accepting applications for the 2018 fiscal year.

Natural Resources Conservation Chief Jason Weller said it’s a powerful partnership that the landowners are driving.

“It brings to the table all the capabilities of NRCS and then the partners design the actual project. They’re the ones in the driver seat designing what conservation action needs to happen in their communities.”

The goal of the program is to improve wetlands, restore habitats and other conservation programs that help with wildlife and the environment.

The deadline to apply is April 21st. For more information on the program, visit nrcs.usda.gov.
