President-elect Trump promised a pro-farmer administration and the American Farm Bureau’s President Zippy Duvall said he will make sure that comes true.

Duvall noted that they were happy to see rural America actively involved in the election.

“We’re excited about working with President-elect Trump through the transition and through his first year to make sure he holds true on his promises that he made to rural America.”

Duvall said the issues facing agriculture and rural America are not partisan issues, but are critical to the economy of rural America and protecting the nation’s food supply.

American Farm Bureau is also expecting to be part of the conversation when it comes to issues like immigration and Duvall said that everyone needs to work together.

“We’re excited about what he wants to do to revitalize the small businesses and farmers and ranchers across this country, we are some of the major small business and we generate a lot of economy in our rural community.”
