President Trump referenced the "unlimited potential" of the times during Tuesday's State of the Union speech.

"[It was] a unifying, confident and hopeful vision for our nation," said Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue of the address.

Not a lot of direct references to farmers by the President, but he did use the passage of the Farm Bill as an example of bipartisan cooperation.  The President also talked trade, which greatly affects farmers especially the current situation with China.

"I have great respect for President Xi and we are now working on a new trade deal with China,” Trump said Tuesday.  “But, it must include real structural change to end unfair trade practices, reduce our chronic trade deficit and protect American jobs."

The President added those provisions are already in the USMCA, which he said will also help to expand American agriculture and bring back manufacturing jobs.
