On Monday, members of the Pendleton Grain Growers voted to break up the co-op and sell off the assets.

The vote was 176-9 in favor of shutting down the PGG and trying to maximize the value of the remaining business and settle liabilities.

General Manager Rick Jacobson said that “dissolution offers the best opportunity for members to recoup some equity and for individual businesses to find new ownership.

The Pendleton Grain Growers will now begin to sell off remaining assets including energy, seed gran and the Precision Rain division.

The co-op was founded in 1929 and currently employs 67 and has 1,850 members.
