Pearson: We’re Here To Support Rural America With Solutions
President Trump recently appointed Kirk Pearson to serve as the Washington Rural Development State Director.
“It’s an honor to serve the people of Washington State and help strengthen the backbone of our rural communities,” said Pearson. “I look forward to working closely with local leaders, Native American Tribes, farmers, small businesses, and families to expand opportunity and deliver the resources they need to thrive. Our mission is clear: to support rural America with solutions that are locally driven and nationally backed.”
Pearson served as State Director for Rural Development in Washington during the President’s first term. Most recently Pearson was an executive for a non-profit organization and served in the Washington State Legislature for 17 years, where he was the Chair of the Senate Natural Resources and Parks Committee.
As Director, Pearson said he will implement President Trump’s America First agenda Rural Development, ensuring the needs of America’s farmers, ranchers, and producers remain a top priority.
“When America’s farming communities prosper, the entire nation thrives,” said Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins. “This new group of USDA appointees will ensure President Trump’s America First agenda is a reality in rural areas across the country. I am grateful for the leadership of these new state directors and look forward to their work reorienting the agency to put Farmers First again.”
