We’re in the heart of the legislative sessions for both Washington and Oregon.  And while lawmakers are determine legislation, the Oregon Farm Bureau is reminding farmers to be proactive.  Anne Marie Moss with the OFB said it’s almost impossible to advocate for every issue facing the farming community, so it’s best to select a topic or two about which you are passionate.  And with so few lawmakers these days connected to the agriculture community, it’s important that farmers tell their story often.

To help the Oregon Farm Bureau has set up a page on their website.

“It allows people to take action on hot issues easily from their phone, or computer, to help with talking points on how to write a letter, or information on how to connect with their lawmaker directly.”
