ODFW Reports Second Depredation From Pine Creek Pack In A Month

The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife says the Pine Creek pack is responsible for another depredation.  Investigators said on Tuesday, a Baker County producer found the carcass of a three month old, 300 pound calf on private pastureland.  ODFW said the carcass had been mostly consumed.  It’s estimated that the calf was killed on Saturday.

Investigators added canine bite marks were found on the legs and near the hock, and a 170 yard chase see was found.  GPS collar data puts OR50, the breeding male, at the attack scene at the estimated time of death of the calf.  This is the second depredation attributed to the Pine Creek Pack.  The other occurred on April 16^th
