One of the latest dairies in the state of Oregon recently had its waste management permit revoked.  Lost Valley Farm outside of Boardman has been under fire by a variety of groups after announcing plans to locate to Morrow County a few years ago.

Earlier this week, the Oregon Department of Agriculture and state Department of Environmental Quality pulled the permit, saying Lost Valley Farm lacks the infrastructure to handle the amount of manure it generates, and has also failed to keep accurate records.  This comes less than a year after Lost Valley Farm received its permits.  The dairy producer has 60 days to shut down, move its 13,000 cows and clean all waste systems.

The owner of the Dairy may request an appeal hearing.
