Less than 9 ½ months remain on the current Farm Bill.  Will Congress get a replacement bill passed and on to President Trump before September 30th?

Representative Dan Newhouse remains confident lawmakers can do that.  He recently told the Washington Ag Network Ag Committee Chairman Michael Conaway continues to drum up support and work behind the scenes to make the transition as smooth as possible.

“The clock is ticking but I’ve got to think with his determination, it’s a very difficult job but that he is up for the task and is working very hard to get that done.”

During his address to the AFBF Convention last week, President Trump said he looks forward working with Congress to pass a Farm Bill on 2018…stressing the importance of Crop Insurance.
