Newhouse Cautiously Optimistic New NAFTA Deal Just Round The Corner

We could be weeks, or even days, from an announcement of a new NAFTA deal.  While nothing official has been announced by the Trump administration, or those involved in the negotiations, many have speculated that a deal will be announced sooner rather than later.

“I’m cautiously optimistic that that’s the case.  That the administration has been telling us for the last few weeks that they very close, I don’t have a date certain but the word is that there’s just a few things to tie up and they should have a deal.”

Representative Dan Newhouse said NAFTA is such an important trade deal for the entire Northwest, that he’s hopeful farmers will have good news before much more of the growing season passes.
