The Renewable Fuels Association has released a new, online calculator that shows consumers how much they can save on fuel costs that are blended with ethanol.

Vice-President Robert White notes that ethanol is cheaper than gasoline, which is backed up by Department of Energy numbers which show gas prices averaging $2.26 per gallon in July, while E85, or ethanol-based gas, was $1.99 per gallon.

“2017 has been the strongest of growth we’ve ever seen and a lot of that is thanks to USDA. The biofuels infrastructure partnership program gave out a little over $100 million in infrastructure money to fuel retailers has been very powerful.”
