As we transition to the first day of spring Monday, the Northwest has been in the middle of one spring-like storm after another.  Dennis Hull with the National Weather Service said not only has this mild and wet pattern over the past week recharged the soil moisture levels, but

“Soil temperatures have risen well in to the upper 40's and mid 50's, which is eight to ten degree warmer than they were last week.”

Hull told the Washington Ag Network we’ll continue to see showers Wednesday and Thursday.  And while we will see dryer conditions Friday, it won’t last long, as additional shower move in from the Pacific starting Friday night.

Hull noted, since it’s only mid-March, we can expect several more weeks of unsettled wet weather.
