Lamb Weston Expanding Richland Facility
Lamb Weston’s Richland facility is getting $200 million expansion.
The new addition will add a French fry processing line which could increase processing capacity by more than 300 million pounds.
Worldwide demand for processed, frozen potato products is expected to jump 2.6 billion pounds in the next four years.
President of Lamb Weston Greg Schlafer said, “We have a tremendous opportunity to help our customers realize their global growth projections, but we need to make more french fries to do that.”
The expansion is expected to be completed by the fall of 2017 and add 128 full-time jobs.
