Dr. Kim Kidwell, the Executive Associate Dean of WSU’s College of Agriculture, Human and Natural Resource Sciences, is leaving the school to become the dean at University of Illinois’ College of Agriculture, Consumer and Environmental Sciences starting November 1st pending approval by the schools board of trustees.

Kidwell called the decision one of the hardest decisions she has ever made on her Twitter page.

For Kidwell, it will be a homecoming as she earned two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

In a recent profile on WSU’s CAHNRS website, Kidwell pointed to a professor at University of Illinois as the reason she was interested in agriculture education.

Kidwell has been with WSU since 1994.
