After eight decades in the same building, the Idaho Wheat Commission has elected to get a new home in Boise.  Britany Hurst Marchant, Executive Director of Idaho Wheat, says their current office, at State and 9th, was building in the 1940s, and while the location is great location, it is time for a change.

“Overtime, it needs a lot of upkeep and it's gotten to the point where we needed to either completely remodel or rebuild.”

Hurst Marchant said they've elected to demolish the existing building and build a new, bigger structure on the land the Commission already owns.

“To better suit wheat growers.  It's a valuable investment for Idaho's wheat growers, and we are hoping that it will be finished in late 2026.”

The plan is to start demolition work this winter.
