Idaho Aging Irrigation Infrastructure Grant Applications Due

The Idaho Water Resource Board is reminding irrigation districts and other eligible water users that applications for the next round of Aging Infrastructure Grants are due Friday, August 7th.

Over the last five years, the IWRB has received funding from the Idaho Legislature for a variety of grant programs, including Aging Infrastructure Grants. The IWRB defines an aging water infrastructure project as any new project, or new phase of an improvement project intended to repair, maintain, replace, or improve existing infrastructure that supports irrigation water delivery, storage, drainage, treatment, and use of water for irrigation.

Municipal drinking or wastewater systems are not eligible for funding.

The grants can provide up to $2 million per project to help repair, replace or improve irrigation water delivery, storage and drainage systems. The Board will fund up to half of a project's total cost. Visit the IWRB's Website to learn more.

The Board is also now accepting applications year-round for Water Measurement and Monitoring Grants to help install equipment that tracks surface and groundwater use.
