The Washington Winegrowers Association announced late last week that Sara Higgins will serve as the Interim Executive Director following the announced departure of Colleen Frei.  Sara Higgins has been with the Association for over a decade and most recently served as Assistant Executive Director.  Higgins will continue to serve as CEO of 501 Consultants, the long-standing management partner of the association.

For over 30 years, 501 Consultants has managed many parts of the Washington Winegrowers Association's operations, including membership services, advocacy, budgets, marketing, education, webinars, and professional development programs.

"We are confident in Sara's ability to continue the strong work of the Washington Winegrowers Association," said Dustin Tobin, WWA Board President. "Her 15 years of experience and commitment to our industry will ensure continued success and support for Washington's winegrowers."

An Association press release noted that Colleen Frei, who is departing from 501 Consultants, has been a valued leader in the organization.

“Her contributions have been significant in advancing the association's goals, advocacy, and supporting the Washington wine industry,” the release stated.
