Fuel Prices Continue To Move Higher As Oil Prices Climb

Fuel costs across the country continue to move higher. The national average for a gallon of diesel moved up slightly this week to $3.03 a gallon, Washington’s average increased two cents to $3.26, Oregon average ticked higher one cent to $3.13.

Patrick DeHaan said the biggest reason fuel prices are moving higher, the increase in oil prices.

“Oil prices hit a fresh multi-month high last week, closing above $60 per barrel, the highest in nearly five months.”

DeHaan noted where the biggest jumps have come are on the gasoline side. He said most of the 50 states saw gas prices increase over the past week, and we’re paying the highest levels we seen in nearly 150 days.
