Finley Plant Sale to Benefit FFA Students

The 25^th annual Finley FFA Plant Sale will take place Friday and Saturday. FFA students will sell bedding plants, vegetables, hanging baskets, color bowls, annuals, perennials and much more. Finley FFA Advisor Jennifer Yochum said students started their efforts back in the fall. She added these long-term projects allow students learning that translates outside the classroom.

"A lot of students come in not knowing, or understanding about plants and and where their food comes from nowadays. By allowing students to plant here in the greenhouses and take care of their plants it gives them those skills and abilities to go out and do that at home in their home gardens to create sustainable food source for themselves and their family."
