The 17th annual More than a Farmers Market, formerly the Not-Just-A-Farmers-Market, is happening in Zillah at Stewart Park on September 9th beginning at 9:00 a.m.

President of the Zillah Chamber Curt Vangstad said there’s something for everyone.

“You combine Jones Farm, Mount Adams honey, all the food vendors, all the arts and crafts from around the state, barrel furniture, pallet art, really unique metal art. It’s an all-day event. The Warehouse Chop House is putting together the beer garden and local winery wine tasting. That’s why it’s more than a farmers market.”

They are also partnering with Community SEEDS to create opportunities to take part in the activities for adults and children with autism.

Vangstad said they are nearly full with vendors but do have room for a few more at a nominal fee.

“4-500 people came through last year and that was on a 90-degree day.”

The event runs until 9:00 p.m. and will also include chainsaw carving demonstrations, a dance, Pete the cat cafe ambassador and much more
