Excellence in Ag Nominations Due November 1st

The Fourth Annual Excellence Agriculture Award is accepting nominations through the end of the month before the announcement of the winners in February.

Chairman of the Spokane Ag Expo Dick Hatterman said the awards were really something that grew out of the industry.

“There are people, organizations, businesses that have really made contributions to the ag industry and made it what it is today and are making those contributions for tomorrow.”

There is also a new Legacy Award for this year that will recognize a lifetime’s worth of work for an individual or organization.

Hatterman said agriculture is always evolving and that new contributions, some are tweeks while some are revolutionary, are a constant.

“We want to recognize the individual that brought that process, that new method, that innovation. We want to recognize them as moving the industry forward.”

There is a nomination form on the Spokane Ag Expo website, agshow.org and you can just fill out a nominating form with the name and contact information and send to Spokane Ag Expo, 801 W. Riverside, Ste. 100, Spokane, WA 99201.
