CRP Sign Up To Begin In Late February

Sign up for the USDA’s 58th Conservation Reserve Program general site is February 27th.  It’s one of several CRP sign ups this year.

“[Whether] It's general CRP, or grasslands it's never too early to start planning and start getting together your offer in," noted FSA Administrator Zach Ducheneaux.  "Our county offices are always willing to help producers get ahead of the game.”

Currently 23 million acres are enrolled in CRP nationwide, with almost 2 million set to expire this year.  General CRP signup wraps up April 7th.  USDA will soon announce dates for Grassland CRP enrollment while continuous CRP allows for year-round enrollment.
